I have been teacher at WDMS for 13 years. Prior to teaching I was an interpreter for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing in education. I graduated from Rowan with a bachelors degree in Special Education and a masters degree in Teacher Leadership in Math and Administration. I absolutely love teaching and learning new methods in how to teach literacy concepts.
For the past 11 years I have had the pleasure of working with several of our WDMS teachers in a team-teaching classroom. This year I have the pleasure working along side with Mrs. Melcher. Our classroom is a blast to be in; we work hard and have fun at the same time. We share so many ideas and use it to stretch our students' thinking and understanding of literacy. I also am excited to be teaching two sections of eighth grade Math. At home I have three energetic children; Brianna, Ernie, and Andrew and a fun-loving husband Ern. As a family we enjoy going to the beach, fishing, taking long walks, playing in the yard, cooking, and making each other laugh. ~ If the family were a fruit, it would be an orange, a circle of sections, held together but separable - each segment distinct. ~ Letty Cottin Pogrebin
